A lot of pregnant women experience spitting a lot. If you ask them why they do it, they will tell you that sometimes the environment they are in stains. Relax if you are experiencing excessive salivation during your pregnancy. It is normal to have more saliva when pregnant, and this will not harm your unborn child. You may have saliva as a result of heartburn, hormonal changes, or exposure to certain irritants. Minor changes such as drinking more water and avoiding starchy foods can help, as can using mouthwash several times per day. When women are nauseous, they may notice that they have more saliva than usual. Few pregnant women produce so much saliva that they spit some of it out.

Drink plenty of water, keep a water bottle nearby, and take small sips frequently. If swallowing your saliva does not make you feel nauseous, spit it out into a tissue, washcloth, or cup.
