Liverpool’s summer transfer window got off to an explosive start with the addition of three new signings and the departure of long-serving forward Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich, but it is expected that things may severely quieten down until the start of next season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side completed their first signing with the arrival of Fulham attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho, before Darwin Nunez arrived in a big-money deal from Benfica. The Reds’ summer business was wrapped up when Calvin Ramsay joined from Aberdeen last month.
With Mane, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi already gone, coupled with a number of loan departures, the Reds could still be on course to say farewell to more members of their first-team squad, including Naby Keita and Joe Gomez. Elsewhere, the Reds are reportedly willing to meet Marco Asensio’s wage demands, while Adrien Rabiot continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool.

Reds ‘linked with the next Ozil’
Liverpool are being linked with a move for Fenerbahce youngster Arda Guler. According to Turkish news outlet Aksam, Liverpool are set to do battle with Arsenal for the promising youngster.
The 17-year-old has been dubbed as the “next Mesul Ozil”, and is being heavily linked with the Gunners. Guler, who can play as No.10 or on the wing, is apparently valued at £25million and is attracting interest from Liverpool, the report says. It has also been claimed that Lyon have joined both Liverpool and Arsenal in the race to sign Guler.
Rabiot linked with Liverpool switch
Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot. According to Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport, via Football Talk, the Reds face fresh competition for the signing of Rabiot this summer.
The Reds have been tentatively linked with the France international in recent weeks, and now a Premier League rival has apparently joined the race. It has been claimed that Chelsea have now emerged as a leading contender to sign Rabiot, after he apparently told Juventus that he wants to leave the club.
Despite Liverpool’s links with Rabiot, it’s understood that the Reds have concluded their incoming transfer business and are looking to 2023 as the year to target a new midfielder. Jude Bellingham has been linked with a move to Liverpool as they look to bolster their midfield options.
