The fidau which held at Mapo hall was the second fidau prayer organised to offer prayers for the repose of the soul of the late monarch.

According to the source who spoke in confidence, the Governor was careful so that his good intentions will not be misconstrue by his political opponents.

The source told CoreNews that if the governor had attended the event in person it might send the wrong signal to other people especially those of Ogbomoso and Igangan axis as the governor had not also paid a condolence visit to the two towns who lost their monarchs earlier.

The source added that, due to the political importance of Ogbomoso and Oke Ogun to the political calculations in the state, the governor was careful not to be seen as placing more importance or priority on the Olubadan stool over others by attending the fidau.
