It was an excellent weekend of football for some Nigerian strikers who are plying their trade in Europe.

Some of them saw actions for their respective Club-side and also got their name on the scoring sheet after the game.

Frank Onyeka :

Frank Onyeka was on target for Brentford in their final pre-season game victory over Spanish side Valencia.

Onyeka who replaced Saman Ghoddos at half-time scored the second goal as Brentford came from behind to beat Valencia 2-1 in their final pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Noni Madueke :

19-year-old Noni Madueke scored twice to help PSV Eindhoven beat Ajax Amsterdam 4-0 in a Dutch Eredivisie Super Cup game on Saturday.

The former Tottenham Hotspurs player scored his first of the game inside the opening two minutes, before adding the second 20 minutes later.

Kelechi Iheanacho was the hero as Leicester City beat Manchester City 1-0 to win the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

The 24-year-old striker scored from the penalty spot in the 85th minute to help his Club win the shield for the first time in 51 years.
