Jose Mourinho Interested In Signing Arsenal’s Versatile Midfielder

Mikel Arteta seem to have found the remedy to Arsenal’s problems over the last seasons, Thanks to the club’s decision of signing young promising talents and the introduction of academy graduates into the first team.

The likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka, Aaron Ramsdale, Martin Ødegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Nuno Tavares, and so many others have been exceptional in Arsenal’s new promising team.

As a matter of fact, England International, Ainsley Maitland Niles is also part of the new promising Arsenal squad, the three lions international was used as a right-back last season.

However during the summer transfer window, Maitland Niles wanted to leave the north London club, but Mikel Arteta insist he will not be allowed to leave and decided to reward him with a chance to play in his favorite position.

During Maitland Niles’ loan spell with Westbrom, the 24-year-old was allowed to play in his favorite position which is in the midfield. and as it stands Niles is playing as a midfielder for the Gunners.

Prior to Maitland-Niles’s recent display in the Arsenal midfield, Roma are reportedly in serious talks with Arsenal over a potentially loan move in January for the promising midfielder.

Earlier in September, Maitland-Niles vented his frustrations via his official Instagram handle when a loan switch to Everton was blocked by Arsenal in the summer.

However, despite not given too much playing time in his favoured midfield position this season, The three Lions international was superb when he was given the chance to start in the midfield against Leeds United in the Carabao Cup. Niles was busy here and there in the Arsenal midfield during the cup tie, he won the ball several times and was exceptional. infact he was the star man in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Leeds United.

According to ESPN, former Chelsea, Spurs and Man United manager Jose Mourinho wants to float the idea of a loan transfer with an option to permanent the deal, ESPN also added that Roma’s sporting director has contacted the Gunners over the signing of the 24-year-old loan.

Furthermore, Everton are still interested in securing the signature of the versatile midfielder as per Daily Mail and Sun Sport.
