How ICT Was Used To Track The Alleged Killer Of Super TV CEO, Ataga – Police

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of Lagos State, Muyiwa Adejobi has disclosed on Friday that “scientific method” was used in tracking the 21-years-old girl, Chidimma Adaora Ojukwu, a student of the University of Lagos, who allegedly stabbed the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV to death in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
Recall that the CEO of Super TV, Michael Usifo Ataga was allegedly murdered on June 15 in the Lekki area of Lagos State. His lifeless body was discovered in a pool of blood in an apartment that was allegedly used illegally as “Short Service Apartment”

The suspect had fled the scene after she committed the atrocity. The suspect also allegedly withdrew some money from the bank account of the deceased through his ATM card
Many people were surprised how the Lagos State police were able to track the suspect down to her house at 57, Akinwunmi Street, Alagomeji, Yaba on Wednesday, June 23, and arrest her and her father. In fact many Nigerians on social media have been praising the Lagos State Police Command for taking swift action and arresting the major suspect.

Talking about how the suspect was arrested, the PPRO of the sate, Muyiwa Adejobi, stated that, although the suspect used different SIM cards – both Nigerian and foreign ones, the police were able to track her by the help of the Information and Communication Technology unit recently created by the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu.

Muyiwa said the ICT unit that tracked the 21-years-old suspect is headed by SP Kasumu Rilwan who is a computer scientist. He noted that Kasamu has helped the Lagos State Police to achieve a lot in the fight against crime, including the recent arrest of Chidimma Adaora Ojukwu on 23rd, June, 2021, after she allegedly murdered Mr Michael Usifo Ataga
