Gaduje Tells Factional Party Chair That If He Parades Himself As Chair,He Will Go To Jail

The Ganduje’s faction of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kano State has threatened to jail the factional leader of the Ibrahim Shekarau faction, Ahmadu Haruna Zago, if he moves about calling himself the chairman of the party in the state.

This was made known by the party Publicity Secretary, Ahmad S. Aruwan.

The development came after the G-7 faction of the party led by Shekarau kicked against the decision of the Abuja Court of Appeal, which handed the control of the APC in Kano to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

The Court of Appeal in Abuja had set aside the judgment of the FCT High Court which invalidated the ward and local government congresses of the APC in Kano State.

Meanwhile, the national headquarters of the AC had issued certificates of return to the Ganduje factional APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas.

Despite this, Ahmad Haruna Zago, on Saturday still claimed to be the substantive chairman of the party while kicking against the court of appeal judgment.

According to Aruwan, Zago will go to jail if he parades himself as the chairman of the party after the court’s ruling.
