Former Interim Super Eagles Head Coach Augustine Eguavoen has congratulated Pep Guardiola for his latest Premeir League title win for Manchester City.
Guardiola on Sunday in dramatic fashion-led City to their sixth Premier League title and their fourth in five seasons as they came from two goals down to beat Aston Villa 3-2.
While congratulatory messages have been pouring in for the Spaniard across the globe, Eguavoen who months back openly professed his admiration for Guardiola’s philosophy also hailed the City coach for a job well done.
Eguavoen on his Twitter account wrote:
Congratulations Manchester City. Pep Guardiola, head and shoulders above everyone else. Champions of England. ???? ????

Eguavoen revealed his admiration for Guardiola in the build-up to the Super Eagles 2022 World Cup play-off clash against West African rivals Ghana.
Speaking to 3Sports, Eguavoen claimed the Spanish gaffer famous style which has earned him numerous titles is risky but loves it.
“I love Pep Guardiola’s style of football. It’s a little bit risky, it keeps you on the edge but I love his style of football. But it’s a mixture. You have to mix it up. It depends on the reaction of our opponents,” Eguavoen said.
Unfortunately, unlike Guardiola who guided his team to the Premier League title, Eguavoen failed to deliver on both the Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup playoff tasks placed in his hands.
