Dangote Group has denied ownership of the truck that exploded and claimed several lives following an accident that occurred at Ishara Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

KanyiDaily recalls that no fewer than 17 persons were burnt to death on Friday in an accident involving a Mazda bus coming from Lagos and a truck that was coming from Ibadan.

In a statement on Friday, February 18, the Dangote Group said the truck, which reportedly bears the logo, ‘Dangote Flour’, does not belong to its company as Dangote Flour Mills was acquired in 2019 by Olam International, a subsidiary of Crown Flour Mills Ltd.

“It should be noted that Olam International Ltd, makers of Crown Flour products, acquired Dangote Flour in 2019 in a widely publicised deal. The company now fully belongs to Olam.
