Covid-19 Issues Shouldn’t Be An Excuse For Chelsea’s Recent Bad Form.

Chelsea started the season actually in their best form as they did really well to win a reasonable number of matches in all competitions. However, things weren’t stable at the West London side as they had some of their key players being out of action due to certain injury concerns.

The likes of Ngolo Kante, Ben Chilwell, Matteo Kovacic, and Romelu Lukaku were all absent from some matches for Chelsea due to injury issues. Things grew soar for the Blues in the middle stage of the season as they started finding it difficult to win matches which led to them dropping from their top spot on the Premier League table.

A defensively strong side like Chelsea started conceding many careless goals to their opposition as they lost vital points through this process. Recently with the rapid issues of Covid-19 in football, Chelsea had lots of their players testing positive for the virus and couldn’t feature for the Blues in the Premier League. Important players like Timo Werner, Romelu Lukaku, Callum Hudson Odoi, Matteo Kovacic, Jorginho, and Kai Havertz were all ruled out of action after testing positive for Covid-19.

Covid-19 issues have now turned into a great excuse for Chelsea fans as they claimed most of their key players couldn’t feature In games for the Blues. However, The Covid-19 situation had its own part in the recent performance of the Blues but shouldn’t be blamed solely for their poor form.

Despite the unfortunate absence of some of their players, the Blues still had enough quality to win matches. Their recent performance is a result of bad tactics and a lack of team spirit. In Chelsea’s recent matches, they have failed woefully in their attempts to convert their chances into goals.

The team plays really well but finds it difficult to get the result which are the goals needed to win games. However, their current defensive structure isn’t currently helping issues as they have suddenly become very vulnerable at the back.

he Blues needs to learn how to win games whenever their big players are absent and this shows the great qualities of a relentless team. Blaming their current bad performance on Covid 19 issues might be a clumsy excuse. The team has to work on some vital aspects of their game starting from the defense to the attack.
